Earth Day's 50th Anniversary!

Earth Day's 50th Anniversary!

It has been estimated that the earth formed approximately 4.54 billion years ago.

Amazingly, today is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

Earth Day started as a student movement on a U.S. college campus in 1970.

In 1990 Earth Day went global.

Now Earth Day is observed by 190 countries and by more than one billion people!

While progress has been made, we still have a long way to go.

Everyone needs to act.

Earth Day allows us to reflect on what still needs to be done and what we can do to help.

Even in our current situation with COVID-19 we can participate in Earth Day.
